Vernazza is one of the renowned Cinque Terre. The municipality has been reviewed as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.

Riomaggiore, an ancient village of the Riviera di Levante, is the easternmost and southernmost of the so-called Cinque Terre.

Corniglia is located in a central position compared to the other villages of the Cinque Terre, located east of the municipal office, Vernazza (which unites a scenic stroll mail halfway between the summit and the sea) and Monterosso, and west of Manarola and Riomaggiore. It differs from the other villages of the Cinque Terre as it is the only borough that is not directly facing the sea, but sits on top of a hill about three hundred feet high, surrounded by vineyards on the characteristic terraces


Monterosso is located in the center of a small natural bay, protected by a small artificial reef to the east of Punta Roca in La Spezia Riviera.

The municipality is part of the totally of the Cinque Terre National Park and the sea around the coast falls within the protected marine Cinque Terre.
